From the moment we walked in everyone was so kind and attentive. We had the beet salad: light but delicious and fresh, Pappernelle Pasta with Oxtail was simply pneominail (melted.in my mouth), sausage pizza (very flavorful) Worth the visit and loved chit chatting with Chantel!!

Wowowowow. Incredible wines. Burrata salad was perfect. Owners are so nice. Great recommendations and pairings. I love it here. Used to be here all the time when it was chow. (Remember?!) and now the back patio is being put to excellent use (w heaters and a retractable roof). This place seems ripe to become a favorite. But then again. I do love carbs more than most things. Probably just like you. So bring your classy stretchy pants and come relax.

We recently hosted our baby’s first birthday at Tavola Rustica, and it was absolutely perfect. From start to finish, Zoti (the owner) went above and beyond to make everything seamless, stress-free, and truly special. The food was incredible—people were raving about the salad, pasta, and the mushroom pizza. We also had a wine tasting prior to the event, and Zoti’s wine selection is top-tier. He really knows his stuff, and every bottle he helped recommend for the event was a hit. Let me repeat, people LOVED the wine. We rented out the entire restaurant, and Zoti offered a very reasonable price for the space and food for our 50 person party. He was so accommodating with all our requests— 7 high chairs, custom prefixe menus, guests arriving late or needing to leave early, and even making note of every allergy or dietary restriction. He even packed up a nice to go box for my friends who had to leave early for their baby’s nap. We brought in decorations and set up a little play area in the back for the kids, which worked out perfectly. When the little ones got fussy, we could bring them to the back to play and then head back for more delicious food and wine. Everything about the experience—from the food, service, and wine to the space itself—was beautiful. Zoti made my vision come to life, and I can’t recommend Tavola Rustica enough. It was perfect! The team is so friendly and nice, the food tastes so good: real Italian food with Turkish influence! Good wine as well! We loved the Gianduja Ice Cream. The patio is warm and lovely!

A good neighborhood restaurant near the Castro. I've eaten here twice now, and both meals were enjoyable. Service is friendly as well.

The Rustic is incredible. The parsnip leek soup is delicious and creamy. The pizza is wow and probably the best pizza I've had in SF, which was quite unexpected as they are not a pizza-only restaurant. The bouillabaisse and vegetable tagine were perfectly prepared. And the service was incredible. We will be back!

Absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Service was warm, friendly, and attentive. Food was modern and creative, expertly executed, and enjoyable throughout. A mix of mostly Italian with some neighboring influences (e.g. south of France, Spanish, Turkish) all coming together beautifully. It all worked so well, can't wait to go back!

The heated back patio is cozy and cute. We had the Thanksgiving special turkey linguine and the butternut squash risotto which were both delicious. The restaurant has a yummy selection of wines - we enjoyed our sparkling "Ultraviolet" from Mendocino and a house orange wine. The chocolate budino was to die for. Our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable on the wine selection and pairings. We'll be back! PS: The complimentary focaccia was a great appetizer to kick off the meal.
